The device which was known as the Dell Streak for quite some time was officially unveiled during CES 2010 as the Dell Mini 5. Personally, I think that the name “Dell Streak” was actually pretty sweet, but if they insist… We’ve heard rumblings of a Dell smartphone for a while. They used to have a [...]

The Nokia N900 ups the ante for the N-series of internet tablets by being not only a MID, but also a phone, and introducing the latest version of the Maemo operating system. I made some predictions about an iPod Plus in 2008 and I got the screen size wrong. The rest of is was pretty much exactly matching the specs of the iPad apart from one or two elements. What’s missing from the iPad for you?

We shouldn’t be surprised that the Ipad is going to set new standards for user interfaces on a tablet-style device and that it allows you to access media in such a intuitive and fun way but somehow, it’s exciting and new to see it all happen.

If Inbrics really can bring the M1 to market for $200 then we’re looking at a very good value MID/Phone but somehow I get the feeling that the mention of $200 was really a ‘CES Press Special’ i.e. whatever you say in Vegas, stays in Vegas! The market could bear $300 for something like this [...]

Running the old Maemo 4 on an old ARM11 processor doesn’t sound like a ground-breaking feature set for the Aigo N500 to me. The last time I tested a device using that CPU I wasn’t impressed.

Cool tech and a very uncool Design.
I am definitely not a fan of this device. Why why why would anyone want to use a huge, heavy two-screen device? Sub-optimal for reading. Sub-optimal for writing. Sub-optimal for battery life. Sub-optimal for costs. What do you think?
