Even if I did not know the background story, there is no way I am going to buy it for almost USD500. Way too expensive for me. Now, since I already knew the background story, I will definitely not buy it.

So it’s rumoured the JooJoo is running a modified ubuntu OS, eh. Ubuntu has an ARM version of itself, albeit a underdeveloped one but one nonetheless.

I daresay given that knowledge it’s possible that the JooJoo is running an Nvidia Tegra processor since it is the only arm chip that can decode 1080p video. (That I know of)

To be honest though I just wish they’d come out and tell us. Then I’d know whether or not i’m interested in the JooJoo. As it stands this is just a curiosity.

Couldn’t GMA500 + Flash 10 handle streaming 1080p video?

Of course there would some kind of marketing bullshit, like it would work only in some restricted conditions, but wouldn’t it be possible?

Another option is some dedicated HD decoder card like the MiniPCIe Broadcom or so.

Im very excited about this product, Id be happy to pre order but its not available in UK yet. Shame, so many products coming at the moment but nothing here yet. Frustrating. You bet.
