I've been using mobile computers for years, hell, I bought most them after reading reviews from your site, but all them have failed to deliver the true mobile computing experience that suits me. That's not to say that I don't love some of them rather too much, and that I'll keep buying other devices that take my fancy. The iPad is and will be a game changer for this market, even if it doesn't succeed commercially for Apple it will have raised the bar for all the other manufactures to beat, And I believe that can only be good for tech addicts like me. This is an exciting time for the mobile space, the only thing I'm not sure about is how to convince my wife that I need another device in the house.
