We told you a little while back that the Joojoo got delayed a month due to an issue with the touchscreen. The Joojoo [product page] is expected to be released to pre-order customers on March 25th. Interface/Video Playback This convenient delay appears to have given Fusion Garage time to do a pretty major graphical overhaul. [...]

I just noticed this post over at UMPCFever. It’ a photo set of an iPhone 4G. Is it the first iPad unboxing? We guess it’s some sort of Shanzai rip-off but it’s looking good anyway! Stay tuned for an update on this. Source: UMPCfever Update: Trixxy thinks it’s a fanboy rendering. Highly likely but wow, [...]

This makes complete sense. Google provide the application channel and Amazon provide the content channel for the Dell Mini 5. This will set it apart from the rest of the bunch so Archos are going to have to think carefully about where they go next. A raw Archos tablet with no apps and no content channel is going to look naked next to the Dell Mini 5. As will all the other raw Android builds we’ve seen so far.

CeBIT is where many many Asian device designers will be looking for European customers and it’s totally expected that these unknown devices keep cropping up but I can’t help thinking that by the time these devices are put through final customer modifications, approved for all the local regultions and then put on the production line [...]

BYD is a Chinese company that makes cars and IT products. You might have seen a few of their designs popping up branded as Viewsonic and in this video JKK gets some hands-on time with the ‘Alice’ that is also known as the Viewsonic Vtablet. Interestingly the OED version here is shown as running Tegra [...]

Capacitive Multitouch, 3G, Tegra and a nice handheld design is always a good recipe but although this looks like a very capable navigation and media device, it’s not really going to be a high quality mobile internet device. It’s Tegra V1 (ARM11 CPU) running Windows CE OS and Internet Exlorer which will be OK for [...]

Another day, another Android tablet. JKK spotted this one as he was walking through the partly built booths at CeBIT today. It’s a basic (open source) Android build on the Samsung S3C6410 just like the Smart Q7. As with the Archos 7 Home Tablet we reported on earlier you shouldn’t expect the fastest web experience [...]
