It’s more than just a little annoying that the only thing known about an iPad in Europe is that it is due to launch in ‘late April’ for an ‘unbelievable price.’ There are some pricing indicators though. In this article I also take a stab at estimating the first weeks sales numbers.

While every major site may have raced to get their iPad review out before the end of launch day, we’re taking things slow here and spending a reasonable amount of time using the device before passing any judgment. With that said, our full review is still brewing; for now I’d like to drop some info [...]

A lot of people are still asking “where does the iPad fit into my life?” I believe this question will be answered once we start to see actual iPad apps instead of simply giant iPhone apps. I’m not trying to say that iPad apps don’t already exist – in fact I think there were about [...]

It seems like we’ve been talking about ‘smart’ devices and ‘smart’ books forever but what exactly have we got to choose from now? There’s hardly a single ‘smart’ device in the market apart from the Apple iPad; which is probably the reason for all the delays. I’ve written about this before. Two delays to report [...]

Engadget have looked into a pre-ordering delay on the Enso zenPad (a version of a device from a company called Smits) and have found some strange goings on. If you’ve ordered the zenPad, check out the article at Engadget. If you haven’t ordered the zenPad, we advise to wait until things are cleared up. Source: [...]

We’ve acquired an an official PDF which confirms specification details for the ICD Gemini 11.6” Android Tablet. Engadget outed the details a few days ago so now we know the specs are real, we’ve added them all to our product database. Many seem to have missed the fact that the Tegra 2 powered device will [...]

It’s finally happened. The JooJoo gets an Engadget review and there’s really not much to say; because the JooJoo doesn’t do much. It’s a big browsing pad with very few alternative usage models or software. 1.2KG is, as expected, way too heavy for a single hand usage (pretty dumb when you consider that you’re going [...]

One of the biggest differences between the iPad and the iPhone is the level of apps that it can utilize. iPhone apps are relatively simple when compared to iPad apps. I’ve made two videos demonstrating two different applications on the iPad. The first is a game called Harbor Master, and the second is a Marvel [...]

It’s only been two days since we got our hands on the iPad, but I wanted to get this out there early as there are a lot of questions. I’ve made a video to try to give you a sense of what it really looks like to type on the iPad in real conditions. I’ve [...]

Google somewhat quietly released Google Reader Play early last month. Reader Play is essentially an alternate way to view Google Reader and is designed to present interesting and relevant items in a simple and pleasing way — it seems particularly suited to large screened devices. While several people, upon release, noted that Reader Play would [...]

I was about two minutes away from hitting the publish button, on a post about how I was frustrated that the iPad wouldn’t be delivered today, when I got a call from a number I didn’t recognize. It was the UPS driver, he asked me to meet him outside to grab a package. I was [...]
