HP Touchpad Launched – Full Specs

Posted on 09 February 2011 By Steve Chippy Paine

I’m watching live blogs of the HP WebOS event where there’s no mention of Palm!

They’ve talked about WebOS and launched the HP Touchpad. This is targeted squarely at the iPad market. It couldn’t look more similar but with dual-core CPU and a great OS, this could be something you might want to team with a keybaord for some productivity. More information coming but specs, images are below.

Regarding the battery size, it’s rare to see anyone use W-hr for this. Usually mAh are used, and for this device it’s 6300 mAh.

  2. chippy says:

The mah figure gives you no idea of capacity unless you know the cell configuration (which gives you the voltage, and therefore, the ability to calculate the capacity.) mah is a figure used in the phone world where there was only ever one cell of 3.7v.

  3. Rachel Moore says:

According to HP Touchpad there were 64 million tablets sold last year. If you take into account HP’s pure size and Palm’s relatively small, but stable following – I think the HP touchpad can be the number 2 tablet of the year. Android is going to be released on too many different hardware platforms imo.

  4. Well written article, thank you very much. Will return to your site more often in the future.
