My wife has a 770 and I’ve been dithering about getting one because it’s a little underpowered and I knew that it’s successor was due out soon.
Saw your post that the n800 was available (via John Tokash’s link here) and said “sod it!”
P.S. my Wife says I’m a “git” for ordering myself an n800 before her and she’s now ordering herself an upgrade!

Well, it hasn’t arrived yet.
According to Nokia Customer Service they were flooded with orders yesterday for all the latest phones as soon as they went live on the store, and there were a lot of fraudulent credit card transactions in the orders.
So they put all the apparently valid transactions through with extra security checks for extra safety.
My order HAS been processed and they are waiting for the credit card provider to release the funds (delayed due to the extra security checks) before they will ship.
It’s showing on my online statement as a “pending” transaction, and Nokia say they hope to have approval to ship this afternoon. If that arrives, my N800 will be overnighted to the UK and I will have it tomorrow.
